Emma has lived in Dawson Creek for twelve years. After high school she was hired on as the Office Assistant for the clinic. She stayed in this roll for 4 years. Emma completed an intro in Concussion Management while working at the front desk.
Also, during that time, Emma did several backpacking trips across the world, learned lots about herself and the world and discovered her true passion for alternative and holistic health. Massage therapy seemed like a great place to start and so she enrolled and fell in love with it. Emma has worked hard to expand her knowledge, her four years at the clinic definitely provided her with a special insight for client care. Emma is registered with the Canadian Massage and Manual Osteopathic Therapists Association (CMMOTA). In July, 2020 Emma finished her first year of Massage Therapy training where she received a diploma in Basic Relaxation Massage, she began her second year of training in September for the Advanced Therapeutic Massage Program. Emma is so excited to build upon the foundations and concepts taught in the first year program and to learn assessment and corrective techniques for acute and chronic pain found in the soft tissues and associated structures of the body. In addition, MCG is one of the only institutions in Alberta teaching the Lensen™ Technique, which combines elements of osteopathy with massage therapy. Once completing this program Emma will have earned a diploma in Advanced Therapeutic Massage and she will also receive a Certified Lensen Therapist Certificate. |
